The Inverkeithing Community Big Band brings the classic music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman and the other great Big Bands to life. Featuring around 25 local musicians ranging in age from 13 to 90, the Band have been entertaining enthusiastic audiences in concerts across Fife and beyond for the last ten years.
Established with National Lottery funding, the aim of the Band is to raise money for good causes while promoting the ‘Big Band’ sound in the 21st century.
Our Musical Director, Russ Moore, gained his considerable knowledge by playing with the BBC, the Tommy Sampson Big Band, and numerous others. He ensures that the Band produces an authentic ‘Big Band’ sound.
The Inverkeithing Community Big Band is available for Bookings to raise money for your good cause.
